Advanced Scheduling is Required for All Private Rides

There is an additional cost for a Private Ride as they do require that we provide you with your very own personal Guide. Essentially, you pay the added cost for us to ensure the availability of additional staff as needed for the ride. (Please see cost example below). The $50 additional fee for the Private Ride will be added to our regular trail riding rates.

(This does not include gratuity, please tip your Guide accordingly).

Cost Example for (2 Riders):

1 1/2 hour ride Per Rider is $60 + $50 Private Ride Fee = Total Cost @ $170

The Minimum number of Riders Required for a Private Ride is 2 people. Advance scheduling is required for Private Ride. Please be courteous and cancel if you can’t make it, other folks would like to ride too.

You have more flexibility when scheduling a Private Ride however, you will need to schedule your ride to begin same as the ride schedule, so that our guides will be available for other rides throughout the day. Please see our Trail Rides page for a breakdown of scheduling times for rides. We also recommend the 1 1/2 hour ride as you’ll get more for your money. You won’t want to go back to the real world after just a 45 minutes on horseback, it’s the best way to unwind after a long drive or everyday worries.

If you’re an experienced rider, and you’d like for us to be able to ride at your level rather than the level of the least experienced rider in the public group, then a private ride is recommended. You will then have an opportunity to ride more challenging trails or to trot if you’d like, depending on trail conditions of course.

A private ride will allow us to take you to a nice pond where you can stop for a picnic, propose to your fiancé, or celebrate your anniversary. It’s located in a private wooded area complete with a picnic table. We recommend a 1 1/2 hour ride to allow you time to reach the pond, take some time to enjoy the moment, and get back on time. The pond is fairly close to the stables, so it is an option for the 45 min ride but, there would be no time to dismount and appreciate the opportunity.

You don’t have to be experienced riders or a couple wanting a romantic ride to do a private ride. If you’d like to have a private ride for your family or group of friends, the private ride is available to everyone.

The 90 minute ride will get your own guide! (Minimum of 2 riders) You can choose to spend your time learning to saddle, brush and tack up a horse before you ride or just have your very own experienced trail guide give you riding instruction as you hit the trails together. You can learn as you go in a natural setting how to sit, steer, navigate hills and cross creeks– much more exciting than a lesson riding around a circle in a ring!
